Outwrite Bookstore & Coffeehouse

Outwrite Bookstore and Coffeehouse was founded in 1993 as Atlanta's only gay and lesbian bookstore. Quickly outgrowing our small space in a Midtown shopping center, we moved, in 1996, to the corner of Piedmont Avenue and 10th Street, redesigning an old disco into a fabulous new open space. Our move proved to be the catalyst for new development in this historically gay and lesbian neighborhood. We immediately became a meeting place for a broad cross-section of our community, achieving local and national recognition of our contributions to the community. We're here to serve you from 10AM to late at night seven days a week, with a vast selection of food and drink in our coffeehouse, and an incredible array of books, CDs, magazines, movies and gifts.
